Vietnam 2024- Last Team Update #7
The last two days have been a blessing! As I prepare to post this Sue and Vicki are enroute already to Taipei. Sally and I leave for the airport in under 6 hours, while Khoi and Pratan are elsewhere in Ho Chi Minh City visiting family for the rest of the week.
Sunday afternoon we had a wonderful time of fellowship with students in our E-Learning Friendship English Conversation ministry (EFEC). Three of our team members also serve as volunteer teachers with the ministry, so meeting in person after years of zoom calls was memorable! We heard first hand again how helpful EFEC is, as well as the critical need more volunteers for the long waiting list of students here in Vietnam!

Monday we spent several hours with Dr Hang and Mr Hai, who together are the heart and soul of ALWM’s Vital Links ministry that has been doing medical / evangelism outreaches in partnership with rural churches for nearly 20 years. Their home above her doctor’s office is also one of our Gospel Houses, where the 14 orphaned children who were rescued from abortion live as a family. They have an amazing testimony of changed lives among the unwed mothers and these wonderful children who are all Christians.
We spent time in prayer as we heard their broad vision for expanded ministry! Mode will be shared in future publications.
Monday evening we wrapped up just a few hours ago with a time for conversation, thank you’s and a birthday cake for Sally with some of the Vital Links volunteers. Our hearts are full after 14 days here fruitful ministry. We made many great memories, also seeing the need and the opportunity as we work in partnership with visionary servants like Dr Hang, Mr Hai, Van and the team of more than 35 volunteers. We are excited about our return, and even more about the growing vision and impact of our Vital Links ministry.
We had an amazing team this year that worked hard and served well! Sue, Vicki, Khoi and Pratan were from very different places (urban Texas and rural South Dakota)and meshed beautifully! We welcome your continued prayer for our multi faceted ministry here in Vietnam To learn more about our work here visit ALWM.org/vietnam. Thanks for making the journey with us through these seven blog post updates.
In Christ,
Bill & Sally
